Conference Scholarship

CMEF has a limited amount of funds available to assist California K-12 school teachers with the registration and travel fees associated with attending the conference.  If your school or district is unable to sponosor your registration, use the attached form to apply for a scholarship.

The California Mineral Education Foundation is committed to the advancement of mineral, mining, earth science and environmental education through pro-active programs for students, teachers and the general public.

CMEF offers an affordable program to enhance your science education and is designed to meet the California State Education Standards for Science.  

 

Conference participants receive lesson plans, hands-on workshops, lectures, field trips, rock and mineral samples and materials for the classroom. 

 

Instructors include university professors, geologists, accredited California earth science teachers and other industry professionals.

 

Participants are also eligible for university credit from CSU Sacramento.
